Renewable Energies II and III - Wind Farm Hrgud

The energy utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS) is the second largest power utility in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They signed a contract with intec on 21 September 2021 for the provision of consulting services to construct the Hrgud wind farm with an envisaged capacity of 48 MW. The average annual production is 126 GWh of electricity. The total cost of the planned wind farm project is estimated to be €64.3 million and around €60 million will be provided by German development bank KfW.

Hrgud is 1/5 potential sites in Republika Srpska (RS) to be selected by ERS to implement another wind power project. The intention being to increase the share of Renewable Energies in the overall energy mix, as well as to boost the economic situation in the region. ERS plans to add a total of 1,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in the coming years across its renewable energy portfolio.

The consultancy’s overall objective is to assist and advise ERS in the preparation/planning as well as the management of the Project. This encompasses preparing tender documents for the procurement of works, supplies and services plus the supervision of construction works.

The project will be implemented in two stages:

Stage 1:Pre-implementation analysis and due diligence and procurement activities

Stage 2: Supervision of works, contract management and other implementation activities
