Ukraine - 750 kV Zaporizhzhia - Kahovska Transmission Line

The present project is part of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine to 2030 and is aimed at improving the regional power system efficiency, stability and reliability on the Crimean peninsula. It consists of the construction of a 750 kV OHL from Zaporizhzhia Substation to the new Kakhovska Substation and related 330 kV connections, as follows:

  • Construction of a 190 km of 750 kV transmission line between Zaporizhzhia NPP and Kakhovska Substation with fibre optic and maintenance workshop
  • Construction of a new 750/330/220 kV Substation at Kakhovska, with two 1000 MVA automatic transformers and automatic control system
  • Constructing the diversion of the existing 330 kV Novokakhovska - Ostrovska line (2 x 27 km), incl. rehabilitation of the 330 kV Ostrovska Substation, replacement of relay protection and automatics, communication devices, the construction of a control unit at Novokakhovska Substation and the installation of the fibre-optic system Novokakhovska - Kakhovska
  • Constructing the diversion of the existing 330 kV Novokakhovska - Kherson line (2 x 15 km), incl. rehabilitation of the 330 kV Khersonska Substation, and the installation of the fibre-optic system from Kakhovska - Khersonska
